Modern relationships have no room for misogyny
If there is anything you will pull from the blog post it is that all women in healthy relationships and work environments, should allow no room for even a sprinkle of misogyny.
Misogyny is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as:
a hatred of women.
I know what you're thinking, c'mon now, this sounds like it is about to go into a feminist spiel. But misogyny is very much alive and breathing in our current society and is present in MANY forms.
If you disagree, check out these real life, technology saturated examples presented by good ol' Buzzfeed. Some of these graphic, harassing messages were sent by friends of the women, old lovers and even coworkers (yikes!).
As the #metoo social media campaign is on the rise, it should become increasingly important for women to feel empowered to speak out without feeling alone regardless of environment.
Men will often feel threatened by a woman in a dignified, powerful position and act accordingly. Traditional roles of relationships and marriages are stressed through male personalities and politicians. But the number women receiving college educations and high-paying careers are hitting the highest rates we have ever seen! That is something to be proud of.
